Jubilee Park, in the heart of Beaudesert, is the location of the Beaudesert Skatepark. This is definitely not one for the street skaters. The only street elements here are a few ledges on the platforms around the ramps. If you enjoy transitions however you are in luck. Beaudesert has a halfpipe, cornered bowl, round bowl, and a quarter pipe.
The original halfpipe still stands and offers up varying heights. There’s 6 1/2ft and 5ft sections, both with metal coping. There’s also a 3 1/2ft section without. The upgrade houses a 5ft cornered bowl with a flatland entrance and hips either side. There’s also a 5ft round bowl with an entrance and hips bridging out. Both bowls are joined by a spine and have metal coping. Ledges sit atop the platforms for the bowls and at varying distances from the transition. You’ll also find a 4ft quarter pipe with a ledge on top, as well as a 4ft transitioned pyramid (one side flat bank). There’s a lot of hips available, both right and left in the upgrade.
The council has this park named as Jubilee Skatepark.
Jubilee Park has a range of other facilities available including picnic shelters and seats, large trees, walkways, playground, basketball and BBQs. There is a servo and shops close by including all the major takeaways.
Getting to Beaudesert Skatepark
If heading from Brisbane, follow the Mount Lindesay Highway through town and turn right at the lights, staying on the Hwy. Jubilee Park is on the left soon after lights. There are minimal car parks inside the park proper, however plenty of street parking is available. A bus runs to and from Beaudesert and Browns Plains. It’s just under an hours trip. If you prefer your street skating we’d suggest you head 20 minutes north to Jimboomba Skatepark. It’s the closest place for a skate that has a street section and smaller elements.
