The Powell Peralta name is well known in skateboarding circles, with the brand first starting in 1978. The company started as a joint venture between George Powell and Stacy Peralta. Stacy at the time was ripping it up having been named Skateboarder of the Year in 1979, and George was the design guru. In 2016 the brand was inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame. The Bones Brigade was the skate team of Powell Peralta, and brought together many of the top pros at the time. This includes Tony Hawk, Mike McGill, Steve Caballero and Rodney Mullen. You can catch them in action in their iconic skating vids including "The Search for Animal Chin".

Reissue and Old School

After a break of many years, the company re-emerged on the skate scene. In 2008 with a series of limited edition reissue decks from some of the original Bones Brigade. These proved to be a hit at the time and led to further releases.

New Technology

Flight decks have taken the scene by storm. They are made up of maple veneers and fibreglass making them thinner, stronger and lighter than traditional decks. They are more resistant to breaking, and provide an ongoing pop that doesn't fade as your board does. What's more, many can ollie higher on them due to greater snap and rebound.
