Primitive Skateboarding was founded by professional skateboarder Paul Rodriquez Jr. (aka P-Rod). He originally released a limited run of 500 gold foil decks, and due to the overwhelming response, decided to launch a skateboard company.
He was joined by Heath Brinkley, Andy Netkin, Jay Partow, and Jubal Jones in starting the Primitive Skateboard and clothing store in California. Since then the company has gone from strength to strength and is widely known in the scene today.
Collaborations
The company has done several collaborations over the years. A few of the more notable are Dragon Ball, Rick and Morty, Naruto, Sailor Moon as well as Tupac and the Notorious BIG. So in addition to those that skate hard, these decks are highly sought after by collectors and fans.
