The Coorparoo Skatepark is approximately 5km south east of the Brisbane CBD. It is located at the Common Park, 92 Cambridge St, Coorparoo. The park is a short distance from Coorparoo Train Station, about 500 metres. Also in walking distance are the 184 and 185 bus services that stop at Cavendish rd nearby. This is a popular skate park in Brisbane. There is a well put together street section that has plenty of flat rails and ledges on one side. The other half of the section has two large banks either side of a funbox. Next to the park is a great metal trick half pipe with low cutoff transition. It’s nice and wide about 24 foot with two height sections about 5 and 6 foot. It’s in pretty good condition and is pretty smooth to skate on. This place seriously needs some lighting!

Stopped by when the main renovations were done. They put the same anti-graffiti concrete all over the park as the stuff at Paddo which makes the whole park super slippery but super fast. As soon as you get used to it, it’s a very fun park to skate. The half pipe is super iconic and fun but was in the process of being renovated when I went. The people there are super friendly and I managed to have some good convos with the more dedicated Coops skaters there which was cool. The street section is very fun but I find the transition section pretty intense, as the banks leading up to the high funbox being pretty steep and difficult to get up without some serious pumping. Overall, had a super good session here and will definitely come back sometime.
