Independent 144 Trucks are perfectly suited to 8.25″ decks. With an axle width matching that of the board, it’s a perfect combo.
If you’re ready to grab yourself a set of Indy 144’s, you’ll need to decide which one is right for you. They start off with the “Standard” range and work their way up to forged titanium, which is 15% lighter. In-between you’ll find hollow and forged hollow.
There’s also the MID option which has a lower profile hanger for optimal angles and street skating with wheels 53mm and under.
Each step up the Indy chain the skateboard trucks get a little lighter. 7%, 10%, 15%. They also get a little more expensive as you would expect.
As a common size, Pro Models are often available in the range.

All models of Indy 144 Skateboard Trucks have an axle width of 8.25″. This matches up perfectly with skateboard decks of the same width. Whilst there are no hard and fast rules, Independent does recommend this size truck for decks between 8.2″ and 8.375″ in width.
