Goonellabah Skatepark

The Goonellabah Skatepark offers up a large street scape with countless ledges, banks, rails and hubbas. A skate bowl is also on offer for the transition skateboarders.

The park is spread out over a wide space and there are literally ledges everywhere. Curved ones, tall ones, hubbas, metal lined and straight concrete. There is a manual pad which is higher than average. One end has a wide 4ft high tight quarter that is bordering on wall ride. For those that like rails there’s a few. Ones a flat down and the other just a down rail. You’ll also find a pole jam for something different. There’s assorted banks around of varying sizes with hips. One leading up to a raised platform has a euro gap and hubbas on top.

The bowl is kidney shaped with one side a straight edge. It starts off at 4ft in the shallow and transitions into 7ft in the deep. It has metal coping and plenty of platform surround.

The skatepark is next to a shopping centre and zoned a youth plaza. There is water available as well as shade and seating. There are a few popular takeaways just around the corner also.

Getting to Goonellabah Skatepark

The skatepark is easy to find and visible from the road. It is on the corner of Wallerawang Drive and Oliver Ave at the back corner of the shopping centre. There is parking available right in front. Goonellabah is around 8 minutes east of Lismore in NSW. Buses run to and from the shopping centre if you’re using public transport.
