Lismore Skatepark

The first thing you see from Victoria St in Lismore is 2 big ramps. The smaller one is around 8ft high and 16ft wide. The larger is a vert ramp standing at about 12ft tall. It has close to 1 1/2ft of vert and is also 16ft wide. Both ramps at Lismore Skatepark are metal and could use a resurfacing. There’s stairs running up to the platforms.

The rest of the skatepark has a bitumen base which isn’t ideal. It’s fairly spaced out with a lot of flat. Near the ramps there’s a long down rail running alongside stairs. A bitumen bank swings around the base of the stairs to a 5ft quarter pipe with grind rail top. That leads into a 3ft bank with hip that tapers off. A long curved transition leads into a 3ft concrete spine ramp with metal coping. The other side swings around into another long curved bitumen bank. There’s also a concrete 3 1/2ft quarter pipe with a 5ft extension in the middle. In the centre of the park is a concrete pyramid and a flat rail.

There are seats, shelter and bins at the park. Across the road is another park with toilets, water and a playground.

Getting to Lismore Skatepark

For those not familiar with the region, Lismore is west of Ballina on the Bruxner Highway. The skatepark is on Victoria St just off the highway. You can not turn directly into it though and need to loop around via Molesworth St and Market St. Parking is road side opposite the skate park, or next door in the off street parking. Lismore railways station is on the other side of the river if you’re travelling via train.
