Mike McGill

Mike McGill is best known for being the inventor of the McTwist, a 540 mute grab air. And whilst he may have been the first one to nail it down, Rodney Mullen actually named the trick. He was also a member of the Bones Brigade which boasted some of the legends of the day. You can check them out doing their thing in The Search for Animal Chin.

Mike runs his own skate shop now in Encinitas, California, and strangely enough the name is McGill’s Skateshop. Signed reissue decks show up in stock from time to time so it’s worth keeping an eye out.

With Powell Peralta continuing to release more Reissue decks, Mike McGill models have hit the shelves and more are on their way. The latest offering, a hot pink skull and snake deck.
