Munruben Mini Ramp

In a valley on Greenhill Road is where you’ll find Wearing Park and the Munruben Mini Ramp. The halfpipe is 4ft in height, with 5ft extension sitting opposite each other on either side. It has a width of approximately 12ft with the extensions being 3ft wide. The flat is around 8ft in length. It has a metal surface with metal coping. It is set close to a number of large trees that drop branches and leaf litter all over the ramp. Be sure to bring a broom or blower if you plan on skating here.

Munruben only offers the ramp for skateboarding. There is nothing else to skate in the park or the area. There’s not even a concrete pathway to the mini ramp.

In addition to the halfpipe, Wearing Park also offers seats and shelter, a playground, bbq, basketball and most importantly water.

Getting to Munruben Mini Ramp

For those living in suburbia this will be a bit of a hike. You’ll find it to the south east of Greenbank set amongst the acreage and bushland. Greenhill Rd runs right through the middle of the suburb, and the park is right in the middle of that. There is an exit off the Mount Lindesay Highway around chambers flat road that leaves you with about a 1 1/2km drive. There is off street parking on the dirt running the length of the park. Public transport is a remote option if you’re really keen, however you’ll need to walk or skate around 1 1/2 km from the highway to the ramp. Check with translink for more details. Once you’ve arrived and facing the park, look towards the back left corner for the ramp. It’s in behind the basketball court and trees.
