Moorooka Skatepark, aka Peter Scott Skate Park, is about 10 km’s south of Brisbane city. It’s actually quite close to Rocklea Station on the Beenleigh / Gold Coast line. This is a smaller park with curved banks to roll in on to get speed for the funbox at the other end.
In the centre you can go for the sloped rail that’s positioned on a pyramid. The funbox has potential with the banks and ledges flanking it either side. With limited options that section is what you would probably spend the most time on. There are no lights or toilets, and no seating.
This is a fairly small park and there are much better options nearby.
Note: Moorooka skatepark has had a bit of a makeover with some fresh paint and smoothing. No new elements have been added though, so it’s just the same layout with a bit of a touch-up. New photos will land soon.
