2017 Fair Go Skate Comp Ballina

Fair Go Skatefest Ballina

Held as part of the Ballina Prawn Festival, Fair Go Skatefest is a street/park style skate comp that is sure to draw in the crowds. There’s more than $5000 in cash and prizes up for grabs in 6 divisions. These include Junior Girls, Under 12, Under 16, Open Men, Open Women and Masters. Entry for competitors is free and includes free entry to the Prawn Festival.

A local skater owned skate shop Truckstop Sk8 is organising the event. Supporters include the ASF, ASCI and the Ballina Shire Council. According to the organisers, one aim of the event is that everyone gets a Fair Go. Registration for the skate comp is now open. Be sure to put your name down now so as not to miss out, after all it’s free!

As part of the Prawn Festival, you’ll find food, rides, music and more.

The event is being held at the Ballina Skatepark. This park has a  lot of transitions, spines and hips so there’ll be plenty of rad action on offer. You can check out recent photos and info from our last visit there on the Ballina Skatepark page.
