Just because the sun goes down doesn’t mean you have to stop skating. Find skateparks with lights here and get out on your board for a night skate. You’ll find plenty in most major cities and the odd one here or there in other parts of Australia.
What time do the lights go out?
It’s fairly common at public skateparks across the country to have the lights switch off automatically. This will usually happen around 9pm or 10pm. We have added notes where we know the times ourselves to each of the skateparks listed.
Why skate at night time?
If you’ve never been for a night skate you have no idea what you’re missing. There’s less crowds which means more time on your board. For those of us that work during the day, lights offer an opportunity to head out after work or dinner for a roll.
